I liked the hotel, it's well-kept and the location is incredible to Newhaven harbour. All members of the staff was fairly friendly. My room facing the castle was neat and decent sized. The service was great, I had 2 good nights here. Early check-in was a bonus...

The room was clean, a free public car park is available just on the other side of the road in front of the guest house. The welcome is good. The access from motorway is easy. It is a good guest house.
The price is a little high, but in Edinburgh all the (good) guests houses seem expansive. The guest house is quite near the center but the center is on a hill and it is hard to go to the center by foot.

Excellent friendly service with comfortable room. Although the room faced a main road, with the windows closed it was still quiet

Easy acess to city by bus.
Problem in getting internet connection - no connection in the room. Wonder whether the password was right. Staff should be able to help and efficient in using and understanding internet connection, rather than answering 'I don't know'.
